Hearing Instruments

Hearing instruments are devices that can help individuals with hearing loss hear and understand speech better.  Hearing loss can develop over time, and a person may not recognize how serious the problem has become.  Often, people suffering from hearing loss do not want to acknowledge that they have trouble hearing.  It can be difficult to accept hearing loss, but once you realize that it is very common, and that today's technology can greatly improve your quality of living, having your hearing checked and getting hearing help are the best decisions.

Lisa R. Busald, our Director of Audiology, was recently interviewed for an article in the Mooresville-Decatur Times about purchasing hearing aids from the internet. Click here to read the article.

General Information About Hearing Devices

With hearing devices, you may find that:

 You hear and understand speech better in many situations;
►  You are able to join in when talking with a group of people;
 You hear certain speech sounds more clearly;
►  You can hear warning signs that help you stay safe, such as a smoke alarm or car horn; and
 Life is more enjoyable for you and the people around you.

While no hearing instrument can solve every problem or restore hearing back to normal, if you are experiencing hearing loss, and it is keeping you from communicating with others, hearing devices will most likely help you.

Medical Hearing Aids, LLC, an affiliate of the Midwest Ear Institute, offers a complete hearing device department staffed by professional audiologists and an audiology technician.  We serve both children and adults.  Whether you need new hearing instruments, repair of your current instruments, batteries, or other accessories, we are here to help you hear your best.

Here what one of our users said
:

"From the first time I came to the office, I felt that my health and hearing concerns were treated with excellent attention. I felt that every attempt was made...to correct my hearing loss. My audiologist was attentive to every question (and I asked many) and was concerned that everything be 'right' with the hearing instruments. I once asked if anyone else was as particular with the fit and adjustment of the instruments as I was and my audiologist answered, 'Yes, me.' I could not have received better treatment and the caring and concern are very evident. Thank you for your superb care…" --MM of Indianapolis
