Who We Are - George W. Hicks, M.D.

George W. Hicks, M.D., is Medical Director of the Midwest Ear Institute and is a specialist in the field of otology and neurotology. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolarynology-Head and Neck Surgery.   After graduating from St. Louis University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine where he is currently a clinical instructor.  He also completed a preceptorship in otology at the Wright Institute of Otology in Indianapolis.  A member of the Indiana State Medical Association and the Indianapolis Medical Society, he is also a member of the Deafness Research Society and has been an appointee to the Indiana Governor's Committee of Examiners for Hearing Aid Dealers.

Dr. Hicks has lectured and published numerous scientific papers on topics related to chronic ear disease, hearing loss, childhood ear infections, and surgical treatment for dizziness.

Married and the father of three children, Dr. Hicks  is an accomplished long distance runner and an avid opera fan.
