Who We Are - Matthew R. O’Malley, M.D.


Matthew R. O'Malley, M.D. is a fellowship trained neurotologist and skull base surgeon.

Dr. O'Malley graduated from the Florida State University Summa Cum Laude where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his medical degree With Honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and received awards for highest academic achievement. Following his Otolaryngology residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee, he completed a two-year fellowship in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at The Otology Group of Vanderbilt. Together with his clinical competence, Dr. O'Malley also brings a background in research and has authored numerous articles and book chapters on hearing and ear disease. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.  He is also board certified in Neurotology, one of only three doctors in Indiana with this certification.  

Dr. O'Malley is available for consultations on ear, hearing, and balance disorders and will be seeing patients in both of our north side Indianapolis offices. His areas of expertise include:  sudden hearing loss, chronic ear infection/disease, acoustic neuromas, hearing and balance disorders, cochlear implants, and facial nerve disorders.

Dr. O'Malley is married and enjoys fishing and soccer in his free time.
